Talk About Favorite Neighbor/Two Family Members
  1. Well, the family members I’m going to talk about are actually not from my family. They are in fact my neighbors.
  2. They are called ‘Batra family’ and I’m going to speak about thefather and the son from that family.
  3. The father Mr. Abhimanyu Batra is actually a retd. Major from the army and the son Raghav is studying.
  4. We were in the same school. He is in fact a very good friend of mine.
  5. We know this family from more than ten years now.
  6. In fact, we share a very good relationship and visit each otheralmost everyday.
  7. Coming back to these two, they are similar and opposite at the same time.
  8. If I talk about the similarities, both of them are very nice human beings. In other words, they both are benevolent in nature.
  9. In fact Mr.Batra is now a social worker and running a NGO. Raghav also does lot of charity. He is ready to help every friend any time.
  10. Apart from that, both of them are very positive. They always try to make people happy.
  11. However, they have some opposite qualities as well.
  12. For example, Mr. Batra is very disciplined as he comes from an army   background while, Raghav is not that disciplined.
  13. He is little disorganized, may be because he is too young.
  14. He is also very impatient and looses his temper quite easily whereas, Mr.Batra is very patient.
  15. I have not seen any other person who has such a cool temperament.
  16. But having said all this, I feel these two are terrific human beings.
  17. In fact the whole family is quite amazing and very well behaved.
  18. We are fortunate to have people like them as neighbors. Thanks.

Describe A Historical Era You Are Interested In

Describe A Historical Era You Are Interested In
Describe a historical era you are interested in

You should say:
When was this era?
How did you learn about it?
What was it famous for?
And why are you interested in this era?
  • Well I would like to start by saying that as per Hindu Mythology, there are considered to be four eons: Satyug, Treta Yug (eon), Dwapr yug (eon) and Kalyug.
  • Here I would like to talk about Treta Yug which is second of the four eons (yuga) of Hindu chronology.
  • Lemme tell you how I became aware of it. My grandmother taught me about this eon. Moreover, it was also the part of my curriculum when I was in 5th standard.
  • Well, Treta Yug is famous for Ramayana which is one of the largest ancient epics in world literature.
  • In Hindu tradition, it is considered to be the adi-kavya (first poem).
  • It depicts the duties of relationships, portraying ideal characters like the ideal father, the ideal servant, the ideal brother, the ideal wife and the ideal king.
  • In addition, it illustrates how Lord Rama, who is considered as God according to Hindu folklore, returned to Ayodhya: his realm/kingdom after fourteen years of exile.
  • He not only proved as an ideal son by leaving everything behind on his father’s order but also escaped his wife, Goddess Sita from the clutches of Rawna, who was an empowered king of Lanka and possessed various magical powers given as boon from deities.
  • Honestly speaking, there is a range of reasons why I have a special affinity towards it.
  • First of all, it gives a beautiful message that at the end of the day, every dark cloud has silver lining. In other words, truth always triumphs evil.
  • The another reason is the celebration of Diwali festival.
  • When Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya, his realm, dwellers of Ayodhya celebrated that day as Deepawali.
  • I would say, people celebrated it as a gala day. Since ages, it is celebrated with heart and soul by the people.
  • Furthermore, like any other Indian, I feel over the moon about this festival as the ambiance is always full of bliss and tranquility on this day.
  • All in all, I must say, it is of the mythologies that has left an indelible imprints on my mind.
